Buckeye releases sustainability report

Buckeye today announced the release of its 2010 Sustainability Report. The 2010 report details the companys efforts on reducing fossil fuels, water, solid waste, and air emissions. Buckeye has reduced its carbon emissions by 20% per ton of production since 2005, while generating 82% of its total energy needs from renewable biomass.

  2. Good point, but this company is at least making the effort. Some large companies (Google + Apple) dont even bother releasing a sustainability report.

  3. I find it totally unacceptable that GOogle doesnt release a report. Its like not releasing an annual report.

    In years to come the company will have to address this as investors will demand it.

    As for Apple, when the ongoing problems that its has with the quality of its products and the fact that workers in one of its factories keep killing themselves prob contribute to them not wanting to anyone looking too closely at any of their processes.

    Steve Jobs still runs the company like he owns it. He doesnt. Shareholders do.
